Sci Fi Philly

Sci Fi Philly was amazing!
Thanks to Dan Scofield of Shot X Shot for hooking it up. For those of you have not been to a scifiphilly unit or have not even heard of a scifiphilly unit before this quasi-blog-post:

Sci Fi Philly is a loose collective involving two members of the spring garden house, shot by shot, high two records and others of the indie jazz scene of philadelphia. The series is being sponsored by the Ars Nova Workshop with an aim towards providing a consistent alternative for local and regional musicians to perform original music that emphasizes improvisation and experimentation.

It takes place on the second floor of an Ethiopian restaurant called "Gojjo." The place was packed from start to finish... so much support. I had never seen an audience this intense.

Noah Preminger Group CD now available

Hey all.... This record, Dry Bridge Road, was recorded about a year ago, and finally it's ready! The band, which includes Russ Johnson - tpt, Ben Monder - gtr, Frank Kimbrough - p, John Hebert - b, Ted Poor - d, is a dream-come-true group... I feel like they play my music just how I hear it and much better. Besides their unbelievable musicianship, they are all really great to work with and some of the nicest people I've encountered. The songs on the record were all written with love. I hope you enjoy, thanks.

Many thanks to everybody that came out to 295 Douglass May 2nd for the Brinsk CD Release Party. Was a great success.

Friends and fans came from Montreal, Philly, Boston, Vancouver, Flatbush, etc...<!--break-->

My favorite band ever, Make A Circus (might be a bit biased) played sooo well. A new drummer was with the group... Devon Grey, played Owen's music like it was his own, a true composer at the kit.
